Company Will Feature Latest Solarc®-Based "LB24" Products at Photonics West 2009
Skaneateles Falls, New York, January 20, 2009 - Welch Allyn Lighting Products, a premier manufacturer of high-performance lighting and technology, introduces the "LB24" suite of Solarc metal halide fiber-optic illuminators for medical and industrial applications. LB24 products are compact, efficient, long-life illumination sources that produce high-quality, daylight-appearing light for delivery via small-diameter fiber bundles. Welch Allyn will feature LB24 illuminators at Photonics West 2009 booth #6904 from January 27-29 in San Jose, California.

LB24 fiber-optic illuminators are available in both industrial and medical-certified configurations. The medical series, LB24M, is ideal for applications such as surgical microscopy, endoscopy and surgical device illumination and includes a mandatory power supply. The LB24 industrial series is intended for OEM system integration such as lighting for borescopes, fiberscopes and microscopes and can be operated in portable applications using low-voltage battery packs.
