May 6, 2002 - Pyrofiber(R) utilizes pulse laser technology to measure infrared radiance while simultaneously measuring and correcting for emissivity. Temperature and emissivity values can be output independently via analog or digital signal to PC or network main frame. Several temperature models between 500 and 5400 deg F are available with target sizes between .040 and 2.300 in. diameter at focal distance from 4 to 120 in. Accuracy is within ±5 deg F.

Pyrofiber(R) Multiple Sensor Head IR Thermometer Automatically Corrects for Emissivity

Pyrometer Instrument Co. Inc., Northvale, NJ - Introduces the Pyrofiber(R), non-contact, automatic emissivity correcting, I.R Thermometer featuring multiple sensor heads for uniformed temperature measurements. The multi sensor head unit allows the user to obtain more than one temperature measurement on a specific target which can dramatically improves both process and quality control. The uniquely designed system operates with only one set of electronics mated seamlessly together with multiple analog boards and laser channel assemblies offering unsurpassed temperature analysis and control.

The Pyrofiber(R) Multiple Sensor Head Models provides the user complete temperature measurement information. Target temperature and emissivity values can be output independently via analog or
digital signal to a PC or network main frame for analysis. The Pyrofiber's® software is extremely flexible allowing the unit to be incorporated into a wide variety of both laboratory and industrial applications.

The Pyrofiber(R) provides unmatched temperature measurement accuracy within ±5 deg F (±3 deg C). Utilizing patented pulse laser technology the Pyrofiber® measures infrared radiance while simultaneously measures and corrects for emissivity. (Emissivity is a value that must be established to accurately determine infrared true temperature). The Pyrofiber® instrument is offered in either a laboratory (19" rack mount) or industrial version (NEMA - 12 box enclosure). Several temperature models between
500°F - 5400°F (250°C - 3000°C) are available with target size ranges between .040" - 2.300" (1mm - 58mm) diameter at focal distance from 4" - 120" (101mm - 3048mm)

Applications include: Strip steel zone temperature measurement, uniformed billet measurement, and multiple collection of temperatures on laboratory test samples.
