August 11, 2011 - CF Series is available with SolectFire(TM) Technology, which provides flexibility to upstream processes and alternative pastes. Specifically, it opens firing process window and gives operator control of top and bottom of each firing zone. Each side of cell can also be fired at different temperatures. Decoupling technology, also standard, lets solar cell manufacturers make specific adjustments and modifications to firing profiles to accommodate different pastes and cell architectures.

Despatch Industries Introduces New SolectFire(TM) Technology to Firing Furnace Platform

Minneapolis, Minn., U.S.A. - Despatch Industries, a leading technology and equipment provider for the solar industry, announces the availability of new, patent-pending SolectFire(TM) technology. SolectFire(TM) is the company's most recent advancement to its market-leading CF Series firing furnace platform. Results of SolectFire(TM) production testing have shown efficiency gains of up to .09 percent. SolectFire(TM) also provides flexibility to upstream processes and alternative pastes.

SolectFire(TM) opens the firing process window and gives the operator control of the top and bottom of each firing zone. Each side of the cell can also be fired at different temperatures. The innovative decoupling technology allows solar cell manufacturers to make specific adjustments and modifications to their firing profiles to accommodate different types of pastes and cell architectures. SolectFire(TM) provides ultimate control and flexibility in optimizing firing performance and results in producing higher efficiency cells.

"Through research, testing and working closely with our customers, we have discovered that peak firing control is the most important contributor to reaching higher cell efficiencies," states Erik Anderson, Product Manager, Despatch Solar. "SolectFire(TM) is a value-added option that addresses the industry's need to optimize the firing process and open the process window. Solar cell manufacturers can achieve maximum levels of flexibility and control in firing and reach higher efficiencies with our innovative SolectFire(TM) technology."
