L50(300)A-IPL Detector Designed for the IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) System in the Cosmetic Dermatology Market

Wilmington, MA November, 2005....Ophir Optronics, Inc. leaders in advanced technology for the measurement of laser power, energy, beam profile and wavelength, introduces the L50(300)A-IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) detector, designed for applications in the medical and the cosmetic dermatology markets where Intense Pulsed Light technology can correct a variety of skin conditions.

The L50(300)A-IPL is recommended for applications that call for very large beams, single shot energy or IPL sources. Features of the L50(300)A-IPL include a spectral range from 0.5-lum, an aperture of 65mm and a high damage threshold for CW and pulses. The L50(300)A-IPL has a window for gel coupled IPL sources where the IPL source is coupled to a window where gel or water is used for measurement.

Additional specifications for the L50(300)A-IPL include digital power scales of 300W/30W; maximum average power 300W intermittent and 50W continuous; maximum average power density is 30KW/cm² at 150W; power noise level is 15mW; energy accuracy is ±6% for most contact coupled IPL sources; energy scales of 300J/60 J/6J; energy threshold is 80mJ and uniformity over the surface is ±1.5%. Cooling is attained through convection.
