Anyuser Global Announces World's Smallest IP Phone


Tokyo (JCNN) - Anyuser Global announced on June 13 the ImPhone, the world's smallest IP phone. Developed by its partner company Anyuser.Net of Korea, the product consists of a USB memory stick and earphone and allows users to simply plug it into a USB 1.1/2.0 port to use it as an IP phone, anywhere in the world.

When plugged into a USB port, the ImPhone software is automatically activated and displays a phone diagram on a PC screen to assist making a call.

Also used as a USB flash memory (64/128/256MB), the memory stick has IP phone and audio hardware built in. The unit measures 81x20x9mm, and works with Windows 2000/XP PCs.

Between ImPhone users, not only voice but videoconference (up to six users), chat, and short messaging services will be supported.

The price is 3,970 yen ($36), including 500 yen ($4.50) worth of free calls.
