WIN now offers the manufacture of the new platform in quantity for TEMs, OEMs, System Integrators, and VARs, to provide them with fast-time-to-market with an economical, next generation platform for VoIP, IP PBX, and other converged applications.

By integrating Intel® Architecture processors for data processing and Intel® network processors, WIN CAP provides a single point of network connectivity that supports a broad range of network functions: Ethernet Switch, Router/Firewall/VPN, QoS device, WAN access device, Wi-Fi AP, Analog Telephone Adaptor, and Application Server. WIN CAP uses the low power Intel® Pentium M® processor and Intel® 915GM Express Chipset to handle data-intensive functions and software applications. The IXP465 network processor manages IP and LAN traffic, buffering traffic for transcoding by the Intel Pentium M processor. This advanced load-balancing infrastructure enables feature-rich, ultra-low latency converged communications at an economical cost.
