Honeywell Introduces IAQPoint for Indoor Air Quality and Energy Efficiency

Honeywell Analytics monitor integrates with building automation systems, delivers three indoor air quality sensor outputs for the price of a typical single-sensor

Lincolnshire, November 2, 2007 - "Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced the launch of the IAQPoint, a low-cost, indoor air quality (IAQ) monitor that measures carbon dioxide, temperature and humidity levels for demand-controlled ventilation (DCV) in office towers, schools and other commercial buildings. The IAQPoint utilizes dual IR sensing technology that offers better drift and temperature compensation for measuring ambient CO2 levels, all within a small and sleek enclosure.

The IAQPoint integrates easily into an existing building automation system through its wide array of analog and digital outputs including BACnet, LON, FLN, and Modbus. Its snap-fit mounting bracket attaches to a standard electrical box thus simplifying installation. A duct-mount version is also available for applications that need
to monitor incoming air from the outside or to conceal the unit from view. Other options include a digital display and a stylish protective cover for those applications where breakage or vandalism is a concern.

Temperature and relative humidity readings are measured at the tip of an antenna-probe that extends from the bottom of the unit. Taking these measurements outside of the enclosure guarantees accurate, repeatable readings. If the application does not require temperature and relative humidity, a CO2 only version is also available.

"Honeywell Analytics' IAQPoint is the only indoor air quality monitor that contractors will need to satisfy all of their IAQ/DCV requirements," said Mike Zak, Marketing Manager for Honeywell Analytics. "Because it integrates with most building automation system as a plug-and-play device, it dramatically simplifies installation giving contactors a competitive bidding advantage. IAQPoint also offers three sensor outputs
for the price of a typical single-sensor unit."
