June 8, 2009 - Appearing as Human Interface Device, Warrior ICs require no Windows software drivers. IO-Warrior56 features 50 pins that can be used as direct I/O lines, or more complex functions, such as I2C, SPI, controlling display modules, 8x8 switch matrices, and IR remote control decoding. IOW56 can run I2C master interface at 100 Kbps, with clock stretching for handshaking with slaves supported. SPI master function allows max bit rates of 12 MHz and peak data throughput of 62 KBps.

Easy-use USB Interface ICs - Need No Drivers!

Pittsford, NY: Warrior ICs from Code Mercenaries (Germany) are a family of universal I/O controllers for USB that handle all USB's complex protocol details. No windows software drivers are needed since Warrior ICs appear as HID Device Class (Human Interface Device). This means that Warrior ICs are controlled without screen-prompting for additional software - system drivers allow access to Warrior ICs directly from application programs. Controlling Warrior ICs from your software is very simple. For Windows (XP, 2K, Vista) you can use any standard programming language to access the libraries, including Visual Basic. For MacOS X, support includes a software library which even allows access via AppleEvents(TM). Want to make a FileMaker(TM) solution to open a cash drawer, for instance? Easily done with IO-Warrior!

For instance, IO-Warrior56 is an IC with 50 pins that can be used either as simple direct I/O lines, or more complex functions for specific interface tasks, such as I2C, SPI, controlling display modules, 8x8 switch matrices, infrared remote control decoding, etc. IOW56 can run its I2C master interface at 100kbit/sec, with clock stretching for handshaking with slaves supported. The SPI master function of IOW56 allows maximum bit rates of 12MHz and a peak data throughput of 62kByte/sec. IOW56's LCD interface can control most available alphanumeric and graphic display modules. This allows complete user consoles to be built around IOW56.

JoyWarrior is a joystick controller Warrior family that aims to serve a broad range of applications from industrial machine/vision control, professional and semi-professional simulator control, to hobby and model building. MW24J8 is a good option for front panel design - this is a joystick/mouse hybrid controller which is switch-selectable to work as a mouse or joystick, allowing cursor control or data input.

Applications for Warrior ICs are quite diverse - laboratory setups, test equipment, as well as hobby projects or full-scale equipment production, either as the core of a device or just the USB interface.

Warrior chips have been used in Europe to control robots and telescopes, to perform quality control on production lines, take measurements in labs, control switches and displays in front panels and cockpits, acting as a USB interface for many types of products. And now Warrior ICs are available and supported in the USA by Saelig Companies. Inc.

Made in Europe by Code Mercenaries, Warrior ICs are available now from Saelig Company, Inc.
