New Beckhoff Machine-Mount I/O Accessories Simplify Installation
IP-Link Bridge connectors and mounting rails bring greater application efficiency to IP67 I/O for harsh environments
MINNEAPOLIS, November 17, 2005 - In order to bring even greater efficiency to machine-mounted I/O applications, Beckhoff Automation has introduced new ZK1020 IP-Link Bridge connectors and ZS5300 I/O mounting rails. These new accessories are designed to simplify the installation of Beckhoff Fieldbus Box I/O. They are ideal for applications that require rugged IP67-rated I/O terminals mounted outside of a cabinet and directly on machines such as those for processing and packaging industries.
The ZK1020 IP-Link Bridge connectors are for high-density, side-by-side Fieldbus Box I/O mounting where modules are from 0 to 5mm apart. Beyond reducing the amount of exposed cables, these connectors integrate standard IP-Link fiber and are shock and vibration resistant.
The ZS5300 mounting rails help save time and simplify Fieldbus Box extension module installation. The rails are made of 1.5 mm thick stainless steel with pre-cut M3 threads to attach the I/O modules. The rails can be mounted on machines with M5 screws (5.3 mm slots). The rails come in 500 mm long increments - suitable for up to 15 Beckhoff Fieldbus Box extension modules with 2 mm of space between each module. The rail can be easily cut on site to specified lengths.
