Graebener-Reika Announces New High-Production Hydroforming Press

Doubles part output per stroke and reduces cycle time

Reading, Pennsylvania -- Graebener-Reika, Inc., (GRI) a provider of machinery for processing tube, pipe, bar, plate and sheet, has announced the availability of a new 4-column hydroforming press through it’s parent company Graebener Maschinentechnik. The system is ideally suited for high-volume environments, such as the automotive industry, doubling the number of parts produced in a single press stroke while cutting the per stroke cycle time in half. The presses are available in closing forces from 800 – 5,000 tons.

The press crown and the bed are connected to each other and clamped by means of four tie rods with the crown of the press supported by the side columns. This column design offers the advantage of easy accessibility to the press and die space area from all four sides.

“Graebener is the worldwide leader for hydroforming equipment and process know-how,” said Rich Marando, President of Graebener Reika. “This is just another clear illustration of its industry-leading expertise.
