The hydraulic fluid incorporates patented Cortec(R) VpCI(TM) Technology for continuous corrosion protection during heavy duty applications. The most common breakdown of hydraulic fluid performance properties comes from corrosion oxidation that takes place during the extreme pressure and heat from heavy duty applications. Unlike conventional hydraulic fluids with no or minimal anti-rust additives, Cortec(R) VpCI(TM) effectively combats the corrosive attack on metals from fluid breakdown. Cortec(R) vapor phase action releases corrosion protection throughout the hydraulic system including all surrounding cavities, recesses, voids, reservoirs and secondary lines. During shutdown periods, CorrLube(TM) Hydraulic Fluid stays at work even though equipment is offline. The fluid's unique ability provides corrosion protection during intermittent shutdown periods of one month to one year. This is especially helpful to areas susceptible to high humidity. It means that hydraulic fluid does not need to be drained from equipment and new hydraulic fluid does not need to be added before start-up.
