At Last, a High Performance Hydraulic Fluid Designed to Optimize Older Equipment — Cost Effectively

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA -- A new hydraulic fluid from Quaker Chemical Corporation makes it more cost effective to bring optimum performance to older equipment. Quintolubric® 855 has been developed to deliver the advantages of the Quintolubric family of global fire resistant hydraulic fluids to a market that traditionally has not been able to enjoy such benefits.

“Maintenance personnel have always been challenged when specifying fluid for older equipment,” notes Michael Zink, global product manager. “To balance performance and cost when system leakage may be more than 20 percent, they’ve often used fluids with highly variable performance profiles. But now, they can choose a product that delivers many of the performance benefits of the Quintolubric family of products.”

Quintolubric 855 is based on a natural ester — genetically engineered rapeseed oil — and is formulated with the proprietary Quintolubric additives. It has a high viscosity index that makes it appropriate for replacement of both ISO 46 and ISO 68 grade fluids. It offers the lubrication level of a premium anti-wear hydraulic oil, and is compatible with hydraulic components from all major manufacturers.

The new product shares all the essential advantages of the Quintolubric global family, including fire resistance, biodegradability, and an excellent profile for safety and environmental protection. And as one of the Quintolubric global family of fluids, it is manufactured to the same exacting specifications at all Quaker sites throughout the world, ensuring consistent performance.
