Enerpac Introduces Fixture Integrated Hydraulic Cylinders

The Enerpac has announced the introduction of an advanced line of threaded and manifold push cylinders for workholding applications.

The Enerpac cylinders are designed to provide longer maintenance-free operating life than any competitive alternative. Nitro carburized steel bodies and stop rings and hard chrome plated plungers prolong operating life by offering improved resistance to corrosion, which is commonly caused by water-based machine tool coolants and contaminants. Cylinder soft parts, including seals and plunger wipers also last longer, as these are subjected to less friction and wear.

Offering the broadest coverage in the industry, Enerpac's line of threaded and manifold-mount hydraulic cylinders is designed for applications requiring workpiece positioning, holding, clamping, punching and ejecting. 46 models are available to provide a wide range of clamping forces and clamping extensions strokes. Forces range from 1,7 kN to 39,2 kN and strokes from 7 mm to 50 mm. The maximum hydraulic operating pressure is 350 bar. These cylinders meet today's industrial standards for medium and high cycle applications.

In addition to the nitro carburized bodies and stop rings, the Enerpac push cylinders also feature hard chrome plated plungers that are tapped to accept production contact bolts.

The threaded push cylinders have standard BSPP-porting in both single and double-acting models. Enerpac's manifold-mount cylinders have a fixture-integrated design which occupies less space and eliminates exposed tubing, contributing to cleaner production and assembly areas and eliminating the possibility of tubing damage on the fixture.

For added space efficiency and versatility, Enerpac's manifold line has an innovative side-porting ability that streamlines the thickness of the overall fixture.

A wide range of flange nuts, mounting flanges and contact bolts are available for optimum mounting and fixture flexibility.
