Standardized 8-slot 3U CompactPCI Express backplane with Positronic connector provides 6 slots for add-on cardexpansion; PXIexpress version is also available. Two slots provide legacy support for use by existing 32-bit CompactPCI boards, while other 4 are hybrid slots that support CompactPCIexpress technology. Offered in customized versions for OEMs, boards enable accelerated development of embedded systems and are part of standard and ruggedized, conduction-cooled systems.

Unveils New Backplanes for Compact PCIexpress Systems

PCI Embedded Computer Systems Inc., a leading supplier of CompactPCI boards, complete conduction cooled systems, and ruggedized PMC-XMC modules for embedded applications, today announced new backplanes for CompactPCIexpress, enabling accelerated development of embedded systems.
PCI Embedded Computer Systems Inc. expects its new CompactPCIexpress Backplanes to drive an advanced standard.
"These hybrid backplane enables an easy migration to CompactPCIexpress", stated Claus Gross, PCI Embedded Computer Systems Inc.'s Vice President of Engineering. "These backplanes are part of standard and ruggedized conduction cooled systems and are available as customized versions for OEM's."
