Designed for OEM and replacement for natural or manufacturer gas or LP applications, microprocessor-based 8X Series provides standard wiring and configuration to facilitate installation. Internal circuitry monitors system gas valve, wiring, and hot surface element while automatically shutting down system in case of failed or shorted circuit. Also, ODL (Optical Data Link) programming can download custom OEM parameters to finished product within seconds.

New 8X Hot Surface Ignition Control
Capable Controls, Inc. introduces their new 8X Series microprocessor based intelligent hot surface ignition control, designed for OEM and replacement for natural or manufacturer gas or LP applications.
The series 8X Hot Surface Ignition Control is designed for commercial and industrial systems. This control provides standard wiring and configuration allowing simplified installation and replacement. The internal circuitry monitors system gas valve, wiring and hot surface element while automatically shutting down the system in the event of a failed or shorted circuit.
After vigorous design and agency testing the 8X series is ready for production and is supplied with a flame status and diagnostic LED indicator for accurate troubleshooting. Alternate relay switching is employed to extend power relay life as much as 50%. It utilizes ODL "Optical Data Link" programming which can download custom OEM parameters to finished product within seconds. This allows us to stock base units and install the various programs immediately as needed.
Other options include hot surface proven current measurement for systems with high BTU requirements. The universal model includes a multi-position DIP switch allowing a broad range of field selectable timing options. These timing selections are permanently transferred into memory after 10 normal cycles.
