New HASCO Multi Shot Z10440/... for Side Gating

The new HASCO Multi Shot Z10440/... has been designed specifically for side gating and is ideal for articles such as sleeves and cannula tubes. Two, four or six gating points offer the possibility of grouping cavities together economically in clusters, significantly simplifying the design of manifold tools.

The new Multi Shot has been conceived specifically for application with polyolefins. When developing this hot runner nozzle, the design team focused on creating a service-friendly unit, which provides an economical structure of the nozzle and user-friendly tool assembly.

Thanks to the modular design there is no need to divide the mould inserts, which makes assembly easier and lowers the cost. This is made possible by the segment-like fixing arrangement with simultaneous locking for which a patent has been applied. The individual nozzle tips can be exchanged without loosening the remaining gates, even on the injection moulding machine when cold.

A selection of different nozzle lengths is available to satisfy various design options. The individual lengths are coordinated to Hasco standard plate thicknesses. The thermal expansion in the overall length is compensated in the nozzle cover, and through fixation of the nozzle head, precise concentric positioning in the gate is guaranteed. Good colour change properties are achieved through the low melt volume in the nozzle and an undivided melt stream in the nozzle tip.
