Steck Manufacturing Company has released another winning tool: Hose Clamp Combo Tool Part Number 71459 that combines two captive clamps (71457-large and 71455-small) made from hardened steel to fit over the wire clamps. The 71457-large fits on 3" wire clamps, like the Detroit Diesel EGR Hose Clamp and capture the clamps tabs. Attaching a 1/4" ratchet to the tool's thumb screw end or hand turning the thumb screw pinches the clamp tabs to release the EGR clamp's hold on the hose. Hose Clamp Tool maintains the clamp tension so the clamp will not spring allowing the hose to be easily removed and replaced versus cutting the clamp. Works on any Vehicle Class 6, 7 & 8 wire hose clamps.
Wire Hose 71455-small fits on the smaller EGA Cooling Hose Clamp and Kawasaki Jet Skies as well as other 2" wire clamps on passenger and light trucks.
