Stainless Steel Over-Braided PTFE Convoluted Flexes Longer

April 23, 2009 - Fort Worth TX, Parker PAGE International Hose, a leader in the design and manufacture of engineered Fluoropolymer Hose, offers Stainless Steel Braided Convoluted Hose Assemblies. The convoluted tubing in these assemblies is made from virgin PTFE in natural or conductive (static dissipative) and is manufactured with a smooth, rounded, helical-shaped convolution to promote easy cleaning and self draining. In addition, there are two styles of convoluted hoses.

The SCW hose is a standard wall PTFE convoluted assembly and the SCWV is a heavy wall PTFE, open pitch style to provide additional kink resistance and reduced permeation. The heavier wall convoluted tubing also handles vacuum applications at elevated temperatures. Both styles are extremely lightweight and flexible, making it easy to route through areas with space restrictions and/or with sharp corners. In addition, PTFE hoses are less susceptible to cracking from stress or flexing than metal hoses. Our PTFE convoluted flex test did not show stress cracking even after 1 million cycles of flex testing.

Parker PAGE SCW & SCWV (heavy wall) assemblies are manufactured in sizes from 1/4" up to 4" ID depending on style and operate in temperatures up to 500ºF/260ºC. Additional over braiding materials are also available.
