Charles Ross & Son Company has announced the introduction of the new model of the PreMax Mixer, one of the company's specialty high shear mixer designs.
The PreMax is a highly efficient mixer, often used to improve dispersion prior to milling. The PreMax contains a specially designed rotor/stator that creates high flow and shear rates. The PreMax has proven that it can in some cases eliminate the need for added secondary processing. In all cases, this mixer reduces the number of passes required to obtain high quality dispersions by up to 50% of that which is normally required.
The PreMax is available in a wide range of sizes up to 200 hp. The PreMax is also offered as a component of dual or triple shaft mixers that are also offered by the company. Most units are constructed in stainless steel, are provided with air/oil hydraulic lifts and include variable speed drives.
