Offered in aluminum or 316 SS, Type 6000 provides 1-to-1 signal-to-output relay, that when used with positioner/actuator, increases stroking speed of control valves. Integral bypass valve provides system stability while allowing normal positioner airflow and normal valve actuation with small input changes. Max signal pressure of 150 psig to volume booster provides output pressure up to 150 psig with flow capacity of 115 scfm. Temperature limits are -40 to 160°F.

New High Flow Volume Booster in Rugged Aluminum or 316 Stainless Steel Construction
AMHERST, NH, USA - October 2005 - ControlAir Inc. announces the introduction of the Type 6000 High Flow Volume Booster. This unique volume booster delivers high air flow capacity and fast action throttling control. It is available in aluminum or 316 stainless steel construction.
The Type 6000 is a one-to-one signal to output relay that when used with a positioner/actuator, is designed to increase the stroking speed of control valves. An integral bypass valve provides system stability while allowing normal positioner airflow and normal valve actuation with small input changes. A soft seat sealing provides tight shutoff to reduce costly air consumption. Its optional construction of 316 stainless steel prevents corrosion while stainless internal parts defend against wear and corrosive gases.
Type 6000 applications include actuation of control valves used in chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and food processing markets. Other OEM applications include printing presses, textile machinery, tire machinery, paper machinery and paint spray systems.
A maximum signal pressure of 150 psig (10 BAR) to the volume booster provides output pressure of up to 150 psig (10 BAR) with a flow capacity of 115 scfm (195.4 m3/hr). Temperature limits are -400 to 1600 F (-400 to 710 F). A choice of two output ports, ½" or ¾" NPT provides plumbing flexibility for easy hookup.
