Strontium Launches 8GB DDR3 Modules

New Delhi: Strontium today launched 8GB DDR3 memory modules for desktops, laptops and workstations. These high-density DDR3 modules feature a 1600MHz operating speed for multitasking, web browsing and gaming. They are fully downward compatible with 1333MHz and run at 1.5V for maximum compatibility. The 8GB memory upgrade would immensely help users who need to work with large data sets. Users like CAD/CAM engineers, professional and gamers can now have the option to load 32GB in their desktops or 16GB in their laptops.

"With increasing popularity of 64-bit operating systems and the fact that almost every motherboard in the market now can support 32GB, the demand for these modules is going to increase" said Mr Anshuman Gupta, CEO and Director, Strontium Technology. These 8GB modules are available in single, dual and triple-channel kits. They have been tested on the latest Intel and AMD platforms. They have also been certified for Apple products in Apple's own compatibility labs.

Ajay Kogta, Country Manager, India Sub-continent, said, "Like all Strontium products, these 8GB modules use only major brand chips such as Micron and Hynix and are built to JEDEC specs."

8GB DDR3 memory module will consume less power compared to two 4GB DDR3 modules. The aluminum head spreader provides excellent heat dissipation. These modules are ROHS compliant and backed by a lifetime warranty. They can be purchased through Strontium channel partners.
