January 29, 2009 - With operating voltage of 8-48 Vdc, QC7000 Series provides speed, torque, and braking control in variety of applications, including electric and electro-hydraulic powered vehicles and equipment. Microprocessor-based units measure 2.7 in. in height and are designed to meet IP65 environmental requirements while delivering 500 A peak and 200 A continuous power.

Quantum Controls, Inc. Introduces High Current DC Drive


Minneapolis, MN - December 22, 2008 - Quantum Controls, Inc. introduces the QC7000 series high current drive, offering OEMs a cost effective option for a wide variety of electric and electro-hydraulic powered vehicles and equipment. With an operating voltage range of 8 to 48VDC, the QC700 is the ideal choice for 50 - 200A applications. The Quantum QC7000 Series microprocessor based motor controls are designed to provide smooth, silent, efficient and cost effective speed, torque and braking control for high current operation in 12 to 48VDC applications.

With a modular microprocessor control, the drive provides OEMs the flexibility to easily adapt to their specific or unique applications at a cost effective and affordable price. Available in an industry standard footprint and with a height of only 2.7", the QC7000 is a compact package designed to meet IP65 environmental requirements while delivering up to 500A peak and 200A of continuous power. Models are available from 50A to 200A continuous current rating. Optional CAN bus or Ethernet communications will be available soon for communicating drive status and other information.

Quantum's QC7000 Series motor speed controllers are ideal for a variety of electric vehicle applications, including industrial vehicles, personnel carriers, material handling vehicles, golf carts and other electric vehicle applications.
