August 16, 2010 Schutte-Buffalo Hammermill introduces the MP Series Industrial Shredder for paper, cardboard, hard and soft cover books, paper cores, boxed files and more. Whether your goal is secure data destruction or a primary shred for applications such as cellulose insulation or hydro mulch, the MP Series can be custom configured to suit your material and production goals.
Available in five sizes, each model of the MP Series is constructed from ¾" A-36 carbon steel, with a horsepower range of from 30-125. Depending on your specific application throughput capacities can be as high as 10 tph. The large hopper allows for dump and go unattended operation, while the slow-speed retractable ram and hydraulic logic system controls the rate that material is pushed against the grinding rotor thus assuring maximum throughput without jamming. The cutting rotor is available in several sizes, each featuring four-way reversible tool steel cutting teeth. Perforated screens are available in a variety of sizes allowing for production of the exact desired finished particle size.
Ideal on its own, pair the MP Series with a 13 Series Finish Grinding Hammer Mill and the resulting system can produce a finished particle size ranging from confetti to a fine lint consistency. At the same time, the 13 Series' built-in fan increases the overall system throughput fivefold, and conveys the finished product to storage.
