Rittal Presents the TS 8 Heavy Duty Server Rack

Strong rack for maximum configuration

Rittal's new TS 8 heavy-duty server rack has a load capacity of up to 1,300 kg. Sturdy transport castors provide mobility, even when the unit is populated.

Herborn, 13 November 2008 - Rittal's new TS 8 heavy-duty server rack has a load capacity of up to 1300 kg and can be extended by the addition of more, heavier IT systems such as blade centres. As a result, the cost of procurement and the operating costs per rack in the data centre can be reduced. The heavy-duty rack is also equipped with stable transport castors, which allow mobility, even when the rack has been configured.

"The Heavy-Duty Rack is used in data centres to accommodate heavier IT systems and blade servers and so meets the higher demands for greater computing power in the same space", stresses Dieter Henze, Rittal's Director of IT Product Management.

It consists of a welded, strengthened framework based on the tried-and-tested TS 8 system. Both the designer front door and the vertically divided rear door are perforated over a large area, so permitting an ideal airflow. Cables can be more easily inserted, thanks to the rear door, which is shortened on one side. The doors' comfort handles are fitted with a security locking system, and the levelling feet can be adjusted from inside. Pullout stabilisers ensure stability and horizontally divided side panels assure greater comfort during assembly and maintenance.

The TS 8 Heavy-Duty Server Rack is also bayable and available in classic grey (RAL 7035) and jet black (RAL 9005).
