KBC Releases Heavy Duty Lathe with Single Phase Electrics!
With the release of a new master catalog and an ongoing 45th Anniversary celebration, 2010 has been a big year for KBC Tools & Machinery. The GRIP-1440HD boasts a variety of outstanding features. If you've ever been forced to buy an expensive rotary phase converter just to get your lathe up and running, you'll appreciate the fact that KBC's new machine includes a 3HP single phase motor. All you need to do is supply 230V single phase power from your panel and you're good to go.

In addition, rubber wipers on both ends of the apron slide assembly keep chips from getting in between the slide and the bed ways. Weighing in at 2,650 lbs., the new machine also includes a safety foot brake, steady and follow rests, full length rear splash guard, worklight, T-Slot compound, and a complete coolant system as standard equipment.
And it's flexible, too. The compound slide has an easy to read satin chrome dial with both inch and metric graduations, allowing you to work with whatever your parts drawing call for. For those who appreciate how seemingly small shortcuts can add up to large productivity gains over the course of a year, the GRIP-1440HD's standard toolpost can be easily removed and replaced with any quick change toolpost system. The machine is also available with either a FAGOR or NEWALL Digital Readout already installed, further increasing precision, saving time and reducing costly mistakes.
