The Harris Products Group Introduces New Heavy Duty Regulator

Mason, OH - The Harris Products Group, a manufacturer of brazing, soldering, welding and cutting equipment and alloys has announced the release of a new gas regulator, the Model 450.

Ira Bennett, director of marketing for Harris, said this regulator delivers superior design, safety and performance at an economical value.

"This regulator is second-to-none in regards to price point, and it is designed to stand up to the most abusive working conditions in either the shop or in the field," she said. "We designed this with our customers' needs in mind and are confident they will see how well we understand their gas distribution and regulation applications."

The new Model 450 features bronze/brass construction and a stainless steel diaphragm, increasing its durability when compared to other regulators that are made up of both plastic and brass. The valve seat is compatible with virtually any gas and is contained in a 10 micron filter preventing particulate substance from contaminating the seat. Additionally, the internal safety relief valve is tamper-proof, providing greater personal protection.

The Model 450 is a heavy-duty regulator with configurations available for acetylene, argon, nitrogen, helium, propane or oxygen, as well as variations for maximum inlet pressures ranging from 500 to 3,000 PSIG and maximum delivery pressures between 15 and 200 PSIG. It is CGA E-4 ignition test certified, and every Harris regulator is 100% tested.

Dave Nangle, president of The Harris Products Group, said the release of the Model 450 demonstrates the company's commitment to manufacturing high-quality regulators in the United States that answer specific needs of customers. Regulators sold in the U.S. are manufactured at the company's state-of-the-art facility in Gainesville, Ga.
