Ducane's Single Package Gas/Electric SG12B Offers Efficiency, Reliability, and Versatility
BLACKVILLE, SC, October 29, 2002-- Ducane Heating and Cooling's single package gas/electric SG12B brings efficiency, reliability, and versatility to indoor comfort.
With a 12 SEER cooling efficiency and a heating operation of 80 percent AFUE, the SG12B squeezes more out of every fuel dollar- as much as a 50 percent operating cost savings over a typical 15-year-old unit.
The SG12B, which has a cooling capacity of two to five tons and 50,000 to 125,000 Btuh heating capacity, operates quietly. The Copeland® compliant scroll compressor has fewer moving parts for quiet operation. Ignitions are quick and quiet with Ducane's whisper burners and direct spark ignition. Its insulated cabinet and vertical air discharge also provide superior sound control.
Designed for unbeatable durability, this unit features a Crimp-Tite(TM) weld-free aluminized steel heat exchanger with a 10-year warranty and 5-year limited warranty on components. Its heavy duty Copeland compliant scroll compressor has a 10-year limited
warranty.
The gasketed screws lock out weather season after season. A Naltex® plastic mesh gives added protection from efficiency-reducing fin damage. A rustproof, no leak plastic drain pan
helps improve indoor air quality by reducing standing water in which mold and bacteria can grow. A permanently lubricated condenser fan motor that needs no annual maintenance also
provides long life.
The SG12B is built for easy, economical installation. The side-by-side duct connections quickly convert from horizontal to downshot applications. A slide-out drawer provides superior
protection for sensitive electrical components and makes them easily accessible for routine maintenance. Galvanized steel base rails allow easy lifting and installation. The service valve
gauge ports and side and bottom electrical connections are also easily accessible. The three-speed taps on the indoor blower make it easy for the installer to fine tune comfort levels.
The following comprehensive accessories are available for light commercial applications: roof curbs, manual and motorized outside air dampers, downshot economizer, square-to-round
duct adapters.
