May 16, 2002 - Racing Headset can be used with more than 20 different Motorola portable 2-way radios. It offers noise-canceling boom microphone and in-line Push-To-Talk (PTT) button. Dual-muff earpieces are deeply padded and offer gel-filled ear seals to minimize surrounding noise, providing 24 dB of noise reduction. Headset is suitable for manufacturing facilities and construction sites.

Motorola's Racing Headset Now Available Outside the Race Track

Headset Designed for Improved Communication in High Noise Environments

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (April 25, 2002)-Motorola's (NYSE:MOT) Racing Headset, which is used by CART(R) pit crews is now commercially available for other industries.

The Racing Headset is designed to excel in high noise environments, and is built to withstand the rough-and-tumble of the pit and garage areas. Because of its durable construction, the headset is ideal for use in manufacturing facilities or construction sites as well as for any racing team. The headset can be used with more than 20 different Motorola portable two-way radios.

The headset features a noise-canceling boom microphone and an in-line Push-To-Talk (PTT) button. Large logos and brushed metal appearance make the Racing Headset an attractive addition to any racing team or job site. The dual muff earpieces are deeply padded and feature gel-filled ear seals to minimize surrounding noise, providing 24 dB of noise reduction.

The Motorola Accessories and Aftermarket Division manufactures and distributes accessories and replacement batteries to support user applications for other Motorola two-way radios, pagers, cellular telephones and iDEN(R) handsets.
