New Harsh Duty, Motion Compensated Crane Scale for the Scrap Metal Industry
Measurement Systems International is pleased to announce a new weighing system specifically designed for the scrap metal and recycling industries with the introduction of its new Harsh Duty, Motion Compensated Crane Scale; the MSI-9260.
The MSI-9260 is a complete weighing system that easily installs between the crane boom and magnet. With battery power and RF communications, there are no wires to install or get destroyed. The standard system includes the MSI-3750CS digital weight indicator for the crane cab. In addition to displaying the lifted weight, it can also total a series of lifts to provide vehicle or blend weight determination. Audible and visual signals alert the operator when the specified weight has been acquired and a drop can be made.
An addition to the CellScale, product family, the MSI-9260 merges CellScale, technology with MSI's superior crane scale architecture to provide an advanced wireless data-gathering network suitable for process control, safety monitoring and weight related data collection. RF transmission of real time weight and product information can be networked and communicated to additional CellScale family indicators and modems. Its state-of-the-art motion compensation circuitry provides quick and accurate weights with each lift, even with swinging loads.
Extensive testing in harsh scrap yard environments has proven the reliability and serviceability of the system. The MSI-9260 is very well suited for the most severe application demands. An easily accessible compartment allows fast battery charging and quick maintenance, minimizing downtime. Eliminate the double handling of material, overloaded or under loaded vehicles, and take the guesswork out of your blending operations!
The MSI-9260 is available in a standard capacity of 50,000 pounds, larger and special order designs are also available.
