Hand held radiation meters lets user know if they are exposed to harmful radiation. The DX-1 and DX-2 line of affordable hand-held portable radiation meters are small enough to go anywhere, yet sensitive enough to detect minuscule amounts of gamma, beta or X-rays including the types released by nuclear power plants such as iodide and cesium. They are ideal for Homeland Security and detecting environmental / industrial contamination. Designed for everyone they use a Geiger-Mueller tube detector and an easy use one-button operation. Each meter includes an instruction manual that contains basic operating information and information on the various types of radiation. These are qualities instruments will last many years.
