Toronto, Canada - GAO Instruments (www.GAOInstruments.com) launched its innovative LP-236 handheld Optical Multi Meter that integrates both an optical power meter module and an optical light source module. The meter is specially designed for technicians to take tests on a variety of instruments with a single meter. It can be tailored according to different requirements.
GAO's LP-236 optical multi meter implements loop-around tests by using both modules. Switching between modules is accomplished easily via menu selection. The meter provides a dual-wavelength laser diode stabilized light source and one port output. This excellent complementary combination of modules makes testing of fiber optics networks more convenient as only one test instrument is required - additionally this represents a cost savings. Various light source and power meter options can selected for integration into this meter.
