Toronto, Canada - GAO Tek Inc. (www.GAOTek.com) is offering the handheld 10/100/1000M Ethernet analyzer which is an ideal tool for analyzing and troubleshooting Ethernet networks during the processes of construction or maintenance. It is able to test data rates and performance metrics including throughput, latency, frame loss and back-to-back frames. The analyzer features multi-network testing, bit error (BER) testing of ISO layer 1-3 and comprehensive network monitoring functions.
This handheld 10/100/1000M Ethernet analyzer, model A0020001, provides two operating modes: dual-port mode and remote testing mode. In dual port mode, it completes its tests with a single Ethernet analyzer, while in remote testing mode, long distance tests require two Ethernet analyzers placed at the two ends of a WAN. The analyzer generates constant, burst or ramped traffic and simulates up to 500 stations. It is capable of displaying text and graphics on a TFT LCD and is equipped with a 128 M compact flash card for data storage. This portable analyzer incorporates both an electrical interface and optical interface for use with both single and multi-mode fiber. It also has a USB port for data upload and firmware upgrade. Moreover, it provides more than 5 h continuous operation with a rechargeable Li battery pack and also runs on an external AC/DC power converter.
