Original Press Release:

Antelope Technologies, under license from IBM, is manufacturing and marketing its own version of IBM's Meta Pad prototype under the name "Mobile Computer Core" (MCC).

Basically, the MCC is a 9 oz, 3x5 sized unit that encompasses your entire hard drive. It is a complete computer that runs Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Linux operating systems, the full versions. The big CPU on your desk becomes obsolete.

Take the MCC, plug it into a desktop station and you're up and running. If you have to go to a business meeting off-site, pull out the MCC and insert it into a hand-held accessory and you're ready to go, you don't even have to reboot the unit. Your client asks to see a document, you can pull it up right there, it's on your core.

On a business trip, plug the MCC into a laptop unit. You are using the same hard drive. No need to email documents or put them on disk or sync your data. It's that simple. Companies will save time and money using modular computing.
