October 11, 2011 - With double supply voltage of ±12 to ±18 Vdc, SY Series measures DC, AC, and pulse currents on PCBs. Units feature isolation voltage of 3 kV and are designed for nominal currents of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 50 A. Output signal is centered at 0 V with output voltage of ±4 V, allowing detection of currents up to 3 times nominal value. In addition, sensors provide linearity less than 0.1% with ±0.7% accuracy levels, and bandwidth up to 150 kHz with response time below 1 µsec.

PREMO Unveils Hall Effect Sensors with Primary Integrated

Premo introduces a new series of Hall Effect sensors called the SY series. The new product has been designed for a double supply voltage of ±12 to ±18Vdc.

SY family is a closed loop technology component in a very small package for THT mounting. Primary winding is already integrated, which allows to measure DC, AC and pulse currents on printed circuit boards.

Key characteristic of this series is the fully impregnated with a high isolation voltage: 3kV.

This series has been designed for nominal currents of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 50Amps.
The output signal is centered at 0V with an output voltage of ±4 V allowing the detection of currents up to 3 times nominal value.

It also provides a linearity <0.1% with a ±0.7% accuracy levels. Bandwidth is up to 150 kHz with a response time below 1us. Offset drift versus temperature is as low as 0.5mV/ºC.

The current sensor is specially designed to meet the highest safety requirements and is UL marking (USA and Canada).

It is fully compliant to below industrial standards:

o Isolated plastic case recognized according to UL94-V0

o EN 60947-1:2004

o EN 60950-1:2001

o EN 50178:1998

o UL 508

o CSA C22.2 No. 14-10

We encourage you to study the use of this new Hall Effect family in new or existing designs.
