Infilinkâ„¢ HMI 4.06 Features New Telephony and Text-to-Speech Functions
DECEMBER 3, 2004 – KEP of Eatontown, NJ has introduced Version 4.06 of its Infilink-HMI™ software, a full-featured operator interface solution. This version includes a number of new features, including the ability to import windows from other projects, edit users in run mode, import animated GIF images, and new telephony and text-to-speech scripting.
Infilink’s Text-to-Speech (TTS) functionality lets Windows XP users read a string tag over speakers, into a PA system, or through a telephone mode. The software’s SpeakOut command scripting prompts the user to insert text and repetitions. For the TTS function, Infilink 4.04 uses TAPI to dial a modem, accept DTMF (touch tone) input, and play TTS over the modem.
Infilink is a simple and practical operator interface solution to 90% of HMI applications. Developed for machine builders and small PLC users, it provides all the functionality normally required in small to medium HMI applications, including real-time and historical trending, real and historical alarms, data logging, alarm logging, and much more. The program includes drivers for all major industrial automation communication networks.
A free demonstration CD of Infilink HMI Software is available upon request. The program includes a demonstration and test mode that lets users develop and test their application for free. When the computer is put into service the software can be licensed via the Internet, email or telephone.
The Infilink-HMI development software is free, and is included on the free demo CD, or can be downloaded from www.kep.com. While running in the free mode, the Run Time works for 1 hour at a time.
