Magnalight Announces Addition of 1500 Watt HID Tower Security Spotlight

Magnalight.com by Larson Electronics has announced the addition of a powerful and rugged 1500 watt spotlight designed for applications such as prison and commercial security environment. Originally designed to provide prison tower guards with a reliable and effective spotlight for yard and grounds illumination, the WAL-TSL-1.5XM tower security light produces 150,000 lumens of high focused light and can be permanently mounted and easily maneuvered to track moving objects. Incorporating a 1500 watt metal halide lamp and stand mounted ballast, this spotlight produces a beam capable of reaching over 2400 feet in length.

Originally designed to provide corrections professionals with the most effective and versatile yard spotlight possible, the WAL-TSL-1.5XM tower security light from Magnalight produces 15,000 lumens of intense white light. Capable of producing a beam in excess of 2400 feet long, this high powered metal halide spotlight sits atop a three foot tall aluminum pole equipped with a mounting base designed for permanent attachment to flat surfaces. The metal halide lamp head consists of a 1500 lamp encased within a powder coated steel frame for stability and strength. The light head is fully adjustable and can be moved throughout its full range of motion to actively track moving objects such as prisoners or patrolling officers and keep them fully illuminated as they move. The ballast for this unit is contained within a powder coated enclosure which is solidly mounted to the aluminum mounting pole separate from the lamp assembly to reduce the weight of the light head and improve light mobility. This metal halide spotlight] can be configured to operate with voltages of 120VAC to 277VAC to allow easy connection to a variety of power sources. Since Larson Electronics is a manufacture, they can custom tailor these units to specific customer needs with variety of options such as 1000 watt lamps, multiple lamp heads, longer mounting poles and extra mounting options. The power and versatility of this HID spotlight makes it ideal for use on prison security towers as well as in commercial grounds security and law enforcement applications. Other possible applications include commercial marine installations, industrial manufacturing or mining operations, emergency scene applications and more.

While we originally built the WAL-TSL-1XM for protecting military installations and checkpoints, but since its launch, customers are using this high powered security light for a variety of elevated security applications," said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics' magnalight.com. "The WAL-TSL-1XM offers 1500 watts of metal halide light output, but retains the ease of use that the original tower security light had for tracking targets and issues."
