June 30, 2004 - Series DM Machines incorporate linear roller guideways and precision ballscrew. For smaller drill diameters, they are offered with direct drive motor spindles to eliminate vibrations. Drill depth, feed rates, and spindle speeds are programmable to facilitate set-up. Workpiece clamping system is modular and allows clamping in chucks, collets, or special fixtures, with or without counter rotation. Spindles can be arranged on one or multiple drill slides.

Low-Cost Precision Gundrill
The newest line of TBT / Nagel machines is specially designed for gundrilling applications where a high level of flexibility is required while guaranting accuracy. The DM-series gundrilling machines combine American cost-cutting ingenuity with German gundrill technology. The heavy-duty machines are built in Ann Arbor, MI and incorporate linear roller guideways and a precision ballscrew. For smaller drill diameters the machines are offered with direct drive motor spindles to eliminate vibrations. Drill depth, feed rates and spindle speeds are programmable to facilitate set-up.
