Woman Owned Automation Company Introduces a Solution for Ultra High Vacuum Environments

Pittsburg, CA -  Bishop-Wisecarver Group (BWG),  a woman-owned family of WBENC certified companies offering guidance solutions, contract specialty manufacturing and mechatronic based engineering services announced today the release of a new DualVee® guide wheel specifically designed for use in vacuum environments.

“We are very excited to introduce our proven DualVee Motion Technology® as a new solution for achieving linear and rotary motion within high technology processes and vacuum chamber environments", stated Brian Burke, Product Manager for Bishop-Wisecarver. "Designers and equipment fabricators will appreciate the simplicity of implementing DualVee into their projects and products.”

Vacuum Wheels are ideally suited for guided motion within vacuum environments such as automated material handling and manipulation equipment, sliding racks for loading and unloading, loadlock and transfer systems, and other custom positioning mechanisms.

DualVee Vacuum Wheels are linear guide bearings with precision ground 90-degree surfaces for linear and rotary motion applications in vacuum environments, vacuum testing chambers, and vacuum processing equipment.  Made of vacuum compatible AISI 440C and 304 stainless steel and grease, these guide wheels are capable of ultra high vacuum down to 10-9 mbar.  The all stainless steel construction provides for good chemical resistance over a wide range of temperatures in challenging vacuum applications.

Vacuum Wheels are compatible with the full DualVee line of motion components and can be mounted on the AISI303 stainless steel bushings or journals and run on mating 90-degree AISI 420 stainless steel tracks in single piece lengths up to 20 feet long.  Vacuum wheels are available in size 1 and size 2 with load capacities up to 1855N radially, and 440N axially.
