September 20, 2006 - Laboratory-sized Q-2 circulation grinding system features flame-proof electricals and is sealed for grinding under inert gas. Metal free with ceramic-lined grinding chamber, mill features zirconium oxide sleeved agitator arms and Halar coated premix/holding tank. Dual dosing/additive tanks enable adjustments to premix-holding tank, and device utilizes 2.2 gal media volume with 5-20 gal recommended holding tank capacity.

Union Process Introduces Special Applications Q-2 Circulation Grinding System


Akron, Ohio. . .Union Process, a manufacturer of grinding and dispersing equipment for a broad range of industrial applications, recently produced a special laboratory sized Q-2 circulation grinding system ideally suited to processing technical ceramics.

This special Q-2 was customized with flame-proof electricals and sealed for grinding under inert gas. The mill is totally metal-free thanks to a ceramic-lined grinding chamber, zirconium oxide sleeved agitator arms and a coated (Halar) premix/holding tank.

The system is also equipped with a dual set of special dosing/additive tanks to make adjustments to the premix-holding tank easy and efficient.

The Q-2 utilizes a media volume of 2.2 gallons with a recommended holding tank capacity of 5 - 20 gallons.
