T.C. Service Introduces TOP CAT® 520VK 2-HP Vertical Grinder/Sander
WILLOUGHBY, OHIO - October 2002 - T. C. Service Company has recently introduced the TOP CAT® Model 520VK vertical grinder/sander. The American-made pneumatic tool is designed for heavy-duty grinding and sanding applications.
There are several versions of the new grinder/sander available. These include 7" or 9" configurations for both Type 27 or Type 28 grinding wheels; and 4", 5" or 7" sizes for sandinig discs.
The wheel guard versions include a drive flange wrench, while the sanding pad version comes with a sanding disc mounting nut and an appropriate wrench. Other configurations are also available.
All versions include comfort-grip handles to protect hands, as well as built-in handle isolators. They each come with a service manual and complete operating instructions. Depressed-center adapters are available as optional accessories.
The vertical grinder/sander's 1,500-watt, 2-horsepower motor has rated speeds of 6,000 to 12,000 RPM. The choice of speed depends upon the application. The tool has the power to perform heavy-duty grinding and sanding, yet it runs quiet with low sound emissions.
Weighing just 6.7 lbs. (3.0 Kg), and with a height-over-spindle of 7.7" (196 mm), the 520VK is an ergonomically designed, hand-held power tool. Other specifications are as follows: working
air consumption-40 cfm (18.9 L/s); air inlet size-1/2" NPT (1/2" BPT available); hose size recommendation-1/2" (13 mnm) and arbor size-5/8" - 11".
