When paired with MetaServ® 250 grinder-polisher, Vector® LC 250 Power Head upgrades from manual to semi-automatic preparation of material samples. Unit provides single-force pressure from 0-11 lb on 1-4 samples. Pressure is set individually for each sample using analog pressure setting display on front. Power head, which does not rotate, uses mechanical sample loading and head positioning.

LAKE BLUFF, Ill., - As an economical alternative to manual grinding and polishing, Buehler has introduced its Vector® LC 250 power head. When paired with Buehler's MetaServ® 250 grinder-polisher, the Vector LC 250 power head enables semi-automatic operation. Compared to manual operation, semi-automatic grinding and polishing improves consistency by reducing operator-related variables, such as force and time. It can also contribute to productivity by enabling the operator to briefly step away from the machine to attend to other tasks.
The Vector LC 250 provides single-force pressure from 0 to 11 lbs. (0 to 50 N) on one to four samples; pressure is set individually for each sample using the analog pressure setting display on the front of the power head. The power head, which does not rotate, uses mechanical sample loading and head positioning.
For the flexibility of single- or central-force specimen pressure, as well as digital force control, digital timers and complimentary or contra power head rotation, upgrade to Buehler's standard Vector power head.

MetaServ 250
The MetaServ 250 grinder-polisher offers a combination of performance, economy and reliability for most microstructural analysis applications. It is designed for semi-automatic operation when paired with a Vector LC 250 or Vector power head, and it can also be used manually.
The MetaServ 250 system features platen diameters of 8" (203mm) or 10" (254mm). The front control panel features power on/off controls, a blue LED power indicator, platen run/pause, digital up/down timer with reset, water on/off/run-active control, 50 to 500 rpm variable speed platen control and an emergency stop button.
