Graphite Cement creates bonds stronger than substrates.

Press Release Summary:

Grade GC joins all forms of rigid, flexible, and machined carbon and graphite shapes. It cures to 100% carbonaceous bond with thermal conductivity and remains secure to 5,432°F in non-oxidizing atmosphere. When used as joint compound for furnace electrodes, it locks joint and lowers joint electrical resistivity. Product may also be used to repair cracked, chipped, or broken graphite trays, boats, heating elements, susceptors, dies, and electrodes.

Original Press Release:

High Bond Strength Graphite Cement

Dylon Industries has developed Grade GC Graphite Cement, a special high strength bonding cement to join all forms of rigid, flexible, and machined carbon and graphite shapes. Grade GC Graphite Cement cures to a 100% carbonaceous bond with high electrical and thermal conductivity. It remains secure to 3000°C (5432°F) in a non-oxidizing atmosphere. Grade GC Graphite Cement can be used to repair cracked, chipped or broken graphite trays, boats, heating elements, susceptors, dies and electrodes. It is an excellent bond for graphite cloth, felt, yam, fibers and large monolithic shapes. When used as a joint compound for furnace electrodes, it will lock the joint and lower the joint electrical resistivity. It can also be used to form small molded-to-shape graphite articles. The bonds developed are oftentimes stronger than the substrates. Dylon Grade GC is easy to apply and comes premixed, ready-to-use. It is available in 1-quart, 1-gallon, and 5-gallon containers.
