Graphing Voltage Datalogger enables up to 16-channel recording.

Press Release Summary:

Set so single channel samples at up to 50 KHz or all 4 channels sample simultaneously at up to 10 KHz, MCR-4V can be used to measure and record voltage data (instantaneous or average) for control devices and measurement instruments in electrical circuits and record output signals from sensors/analyzers. Up to 4 units can be coupled together, and data can be downloaded via USB connection or SD Flash Memory card. Recording interval is as short as 2 msec, and minimum voltage resolution is 10 μV.

Original Press Release:

New 4-Channel Graphing Voltage Datalogger from T&D

Record up to 16 Channels Simultaneously

CHESTERLAND OH—CAS DataLoggers is pleased to announce another exciting new product from bestselling manufacturer T&D—the MCR-4V Graphing Voltage datalogger. Up to 4 units can be coupled together enabling users to simultaneously measure and record up to 16 channels. Downloading data is done either via a USB connection or through an optional SD Flash Memory card. The logger can be set for a single channel to sample at up to a 50KHz rate, or all 4 channels can sample simultaneously at up to a 10KHz rate. This new device is an ideal way to measure and record voltage data for control devices and measurement instruments in electrical circuits, and record output signals from a variety of sensors and analyzers such as actinometers, anemoscopes and CO2 meters. Very cost-effective with a large logging capacity, this new product will be available from CAS DataLoggers at the end of this month for about $500.

These dataloggers ensure quick and precise measurements with a recording interval as short as 2 msec and a minimum voltage resolution of 10 μV. Users can choose between 2 methods to record data: either instantaneous value or average value. Channel isolation makes it possible to measure signals of different potentials. The device also has a synchronization signal to trigger an external power source for connected sensors so users can save battery power.

These data loggers are designed with an easy-to-use touch panel for carrying out operations such as changing various settings. When recording on one channel, up to 480,000 data readings can be recorded--perfect for recording over long periods of time. Since the MCR-4V is battery operated on 2 AA Alkaline batteries, users can measure and record even when electricity is unavailable. USB power can be used with the logger, which also has a handy preheat function.

Besides using a USB connection to directly send recorded data to a PC, it’s easy to use an SD memory card to quickly transfer data from the logger to a PC. Data can also be viewed and checked in real time on the logger’s LCD display. Not only can users view voltage measurements as they are, but also change the scale and unit of measurement for each channel for recording and viewing. Meanwhile the trend graphing feature lets users check data in real time while in the field.

Coupling Allows Users to Record up to 16 Channels Simultaneously

By coupling 4 units together, it is possible to simultaneously record up to 16 channels. When multiple units are connected, the MCR-4V at the far left side will be automatically designated as the Master and all other connected MCR-4V units will be designated as Slaves. Group operations such as starting and stopping recording for the connected units can only be performed via the Master. Upon the start of a group recording, the main recording settings (Recording Mode, Recording Method, 50-60Hz Filter, Recording Interval, and Recording Channel Settings) will be temporarily copied to all connected Slaves.
