Flowserve Launches the Mark 100 Ultra-Capacity Control Valve

New globe control valve offers cost savings with increased capacity in a smaller size

(Irving, TX: March 30, 2004) Flowserve® Corporation (www.flowserve.com), a leading global manufacturer of fluid motion control products and services, announces the launch of its new Mark 100 globe control valve, competitively designed for improved capacity, extra-fine control, and easy maintenance.

The Flowserve Mark 100 delivers higher capacity in a smaller valve than conventional globe control valves in sizes 6"-16" and pressure classes 150-600. The wide, streamlined gallery of the Mark 100 increases capacity an average of 15 percent over competing valves. This provides end users significant cost savings by often allowing a drop in valve size. For instance, a 10" Mark 100 has a tested capacity comparable to the catalog capacity of competitors' 12" valves.

Available with a full range of noise and cavitation reduction severe service trims, the Mark 100 can be used for a wide variety of industries, including chemical manufacturing, oil and gas production, and power generation. The Mark 100 also utilizes longer strokes than any competing solution. The longer stroke enables the Mark 100 to provide precise flowâ€”even under rigorous demandsâ€”reducing waste and increasing the purity of a final product in applications such as chemical processing.
