October 29, 2008 - Utilizing ITO metal film technology, DTS413 series features Projected Capacitive (PCT) sensor component behind glass front cover lens for protection against physical, mechanical, and chemical abuse. Light transmission up to 90% promotes readability, and no recalibration is required since there is no drift. Able to work with gloved or ungloved finger, sensors require activation force approaching 0 g on glass cover lens. Standard sizes include 3.2, 3.5, 4.3, and 5.7 in.

Densitron's Utra Thin Ultra Light Glass ITO Metal Frame Projected Capacitive Touch Sensors Provide Unprecedented Capability to Designers

The ITO metal film technology employed in our New DTS413 series sensors offer significant benefits to traditional users of resistive and surface capacitive technologies who wanted Projected Capacitive (PCT) technology in a 5.7" or smaller format. Unlike the other touch technologies, the Projective Capacitive Sensor component is behind the glass front cover lens for protection, providing a true durable 7 Mohs hardness glass front construction. It also offers unrivalled protection against a wide range of physical, mechanical and chemical abuse for demanding applications like hand held instrumentation , medical and electronic instruments as well as premium consumer applications.

Summary of Benefits:
-Excellent readability - light transmission of up to 90%
-Stability - no drift, therefore no recalibration is required
-Pointing device - works with gloved and ungloved finger
-Activation force approaching 0 grams on the glass cover lens!
-Resistance to contamination - by harsh cleaning fluids and other noxious substances
Supports:
-Sizes from 3.2", 3.5", 4.3" and 5.7". 3.5" available for engineering sample immediately. (custom sizes and cover lenses also available!)
-Operating systems supported - Windows 98SE, NT, ME, 2000, XP, XP-E, CE and custom embedded.
