Terex Launches New T30 Super Quiet Generator

REDMOND, WASH. (December 2, 2008) - Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) announces a brand new addition to its generator line, the T30 Super Quiet Generator. The T30 comes standard with 110 percent spill containment, simple user-friendly controls and a fuel tank sized for 24 hours of continuous operation. The T30 will be showcased at POWER-GEN International at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fl., December 2-4, 2008, in Terex booth # 3236.

"We have designed a generator that is packed with the features and quality to meet the needs of our customers," said David Spears, Terex product manager. "With its productivity enhancing features, ease of use and value added options, the T30 is ideal for general rental stores, specialty generator houses and other portable power applications."

Powered by a dependable Tier 4 compliant 37.7 horsepower Kubota diesel engine, the T30 is designed to deliver consistent power for common uses, like construction jobsites, to unique applications, like cellular phone tower support.

The T30 provides 29 kilovolt amps (23 kilowatts) of prime three-phase power. Operators have the flexibility to use three-phase power, single-phase power or both simultaneously as the situation demands. Three-phase voltages include 208 / 220 / 240 / 440 / 480 while single-phase voltages are 120 / 240. The distribution panel aboard the T30 includes an intuitive wiring instruction label, 5-lug distribution board and optional cam lock-style connectors.

Included as a standard feature, the base on the Terex® T30 provides 110 percent spill containment of all on-board fluids, including fuel, coolant and oil, which helps protect the environment. The cabinet features an overlapping sheet metal design that reduces noise output and water ingress. A removable rear panel and large engine bay doors were designed to help operators easily service the machine and its electrical components.

An additional benefit of the Terex® T30 is a shared user interface across the entire line of Super Quiet generators for simplicity and ease of use. The Murphy Cascade controller provides on/off, manual and automatic settings. Unlike some interfaces, the T30 has no LCD screen or complicated menus to scroll through, making it ideal for rental market applications. Analog gauges also allow operators to easily monitor all electrical loads and engine functions.

A 64-gallon fuel tank provides operators over 24 hours of continuous operation. As with all generators in the Super Quiet line, the Terex® T30 was built with quiet operation in mind and is rated at 65 decibels at 23 feet when carrying a prime load.

The T30 generator is currently available in North America, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.

Specifications for the Terex® T30 Super Quiet Generator:
Model T30
Prime Power Rating 29 kVA 23 kWe
Standby Power Rating 32 kVA 26 kWe
1 - Phase Power 19 kVA/kW
