Gearless Absolute Encoders are suited for CANopen networks.
June 1, 2010 -
Ideal for medical technology or drive engineering applications, rugged F36 Series offers optical multi-turn encoders without gears, making them completely insensitive to magnetic fields. Devices feature hollow shaft diameter up to 10 mm and measure 36 mm in diameter. With a wide temperature range of -30 to 85°C, compact, IP67-rated products have up to 16-bit resolution for single-turn applications. Multi-turn versions offer resolution of up to 32 bits.

Compact Absolute Encoders for CANopen Designed without Gears to Resist Magnetic Fields
Minneapolis, Minn. - TURCK introduces rugged F36 absolute encoders for CANopen networks, the latest addition to the Kübler by TURCK F36 encoder series. Characterized by their compact size, high performance and robust design, F36 encoders are ideal for medical technology or drive engineering applications.
The F36 series is the first on the market to offer optical multiturn encoders without gears, making them completely insensitive to magnetic fields. The encoders feature a hollow shaft diameter up to 10 mm, with the device itself measuring only 36 mm in diameter. Despite this compact design, the F36 series is IP67 rated and has a wide temperature range of -30 to 85°C. Leveraging OptoASIC technology, F36 encoders reach a high resolution of up to 16 bits for singleturn applications; multiturn versions deliver a resolution of up to 32 bits.
TURCK is an industry leader providing superior quality sensing, connectivity, network and interface products to help manufacturers improve their automated processes. For other TURCK product or technical information, contact:
