Visit Booth # D-4630

Harmonic Drive Technologies, a leading, manufacturer of precision gear systems and servo actuators will showcase their hollow shaft RV-C gear reducer at IMTS 2002, September 4-11 at the McCormick Place, in Chicago, IL. The RV-C is a precision, heavy duty gear reducer that offers high ratio gear reduction in a compact design.

The RV-C offers a through hole ranging from 31 mm (1.2") to 138 mm (5.4") ideal for allowing vacuum lines, wiring harnesses, concentric shafting and cooling lines to be run through the center. The RV-C offers extremely high torsional rigidity and overload torque capacity - at 500 percent of rated torque. The rated torque range of the RV-C is 867-27,754 in lbs. with a peak torque range of 4,337-138,768 in lbs. Total lost motion from all sources, including backlash, spring rate and hysteresis, is limited to a maximum of only one arc minute.

Harmonic Drive's RV-C gear reducer also has specially designed, built-in output bearings that support large thrust and overhung loads. Applications include: rotary tables, wrist axes, welding positioners and other precise rotary positioning, applications.

Harmonic Drive Technologies of Peabody, Mass., is a leading manufacturer of harmonic drive gearheads, component gear sets and complete harmonic drive actuators for several industries, including: semiconductor, factory automation, machine tool, robotics, medical and aerospace.
