Solartron Metrology Offers Smallest Gauging Probe Available

New DZ Series Probes Suited for Demanding Limited Space Applications

BOGNOR REGIS, WEST SUSSEX, ENGLAND-New DZ Series of gauging probes from Solartron Metrology was developed specifically to meet customer demand for very compact gauging probes for limited space applications.

The 23.5 mm and 27.5 mm probes provide a 1mm and 2mm measuring range respectively-a degree of compactness only available from competitive probes that are more than twice the body length of the DZ Series probes.

Extended sensor life and reliability were important factors in developing the new DZ Series probes. Their patent-pending design is as robust and reliable as its well-established AX and DP Series probes that have achieved greater than 10 million gauging cycles.

The DZ Series probes are offered only in a digital version that provides users with an unprecedented ease of set up since neither electrical zero nor sensitivity are needed. The new gauges also complement Solartron's existing lines of ultra small, ultra short, and mini probes as well as its proprietary Orbit® network interface.

The DZ Series transducer is sealed using a Viton® boot to exclude dust and moisture and achieve IP65 requirements. Tips with an M2 thread are available for various applications and can be replaced in the field without returning them to the factory.
