Stabilus’ New Lift-O-Mat® INOX Combines Maximum Functionality with Corrosion Resistance

Stabilus, the world market leader in the design and manufacture of gas springs and hydraulic vibration dampers, introduces the Lift-O-Mat® INOX stainless steel gas springs for a variety of industries, including marine, medical, food processing, RV’s, kitchens and more. The Lift-O-Mat provides effortless opening and closing of doors and lids, and can securely hold a door in an open or closed position. With a compact and attractive design, the Lift-O-Mat is maintenance-free and easy to install.

The Lift-O-Mat INOX gas spring is constructed from 316 stainless steel to ensure a high level of protection against corrosive environments. Careful material selection of the components have resulted in a nearly iron-free product, with almost no effect on magnetic fields, such as those used in medical technology. Stabilus only uses environmentally friendly oils that are biodegradable and classified as “no hazard to water,” which is particularly important for the water supply and environmental industries.

Gas springs are a proven and reliable method of counterbalancing large covers and objects. They offer ideal capabilities for safely lifting, lowering and positioning heavy or cumbersome objects. More versatile than mechanical springs, gas springs offer the advantages of speed-controlled dampening, cushioned end motion, simple mounting, compact size, flat force curve, and a wide range of available forces.
